The 2024 Washington NATO Summit reaffirmed the Indo-Pacific’s strategic importance, highlighting its direct link to Euro-Atlantic security. NATO’s growing engagement in the region aims to enhance cooperative security, ensuring resilient trade routes, supply chains, and infrastructure.

Italy’s active commitment aligns with broader Euro-Atlantic efforts, while Taiwan is evolving from a security consumer to a security provider through expanded partnerships. As geopolitical tensions rise, NATO’s emphasis on “soft security” helps counter hybrid threats and safeguard stability.

The upcoming High-Level Round Table will gather experts to explore practical initiatives, focusing on economic diplomacy, trade security, and NATO’s role in a stable Indo-Pacific.
